Thousands of people are heading to the sites of public events in the regions of North and East Syria today, with major marches and protests, calling for the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and condemning the international conspiracy against him on February 15, 1999.

Today, Saturday, February 15, marks the day when leader Abdullah Ocalan was kidnapped in 1999 as part of an international conspiracy, from the Kenyan capital Nairobi, to be handed over to Turkish authorities who have imprisoned him in the notorious Imrali prison, subjecting him to a system of extermination and torture.

In protest against this international conspiracy, people from various cities and towns in North and East Syria, including elders, youth, political party leaders, tribal leaders from both Arab and Kurdish communities, representatives of the Autonomous Administration, and the Syrian Democratic Council, have gathered to participate in 4 major demonstrations and 5 protest stands.

Along with their traditional attire, people are wearing jackets printed with the image of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, carrying his pictures, Kurdish flags, party symbols, and civil society organization banners.

The program for the demonstrations and protests is as follows:

Jazera Canton:

Qamishlo: A protest will be held next to 12 March Stadium at 12:00 PM.

Derik: A protest will take place at the Revolutionary Youth Center at 12:00 PM.

Girkê Legê: A protest will take place in Martyr Khabat Square at 12:00 PM.

Hasaka: A protest will be held in front of the Justice Palace in Liberty Square at 12:00 PM.

Additionally, a march will gather at Sinalko Roundabout in the Tal Hajar neighborhood at 12:00 PM and will end near the Leader's Garden in the al-Nasirah neighborhood.

Al-Darbasiya, Tal Tamr, and Zarghan: A protest will be held in the city of Al-Darbasiya at 1:00 PM.

Euphrates Canton:

The people of the Euphrates Canton will participate in a demonstration, starting from the Free Woman Square in Kobani at 12:00 PM.

Tabqa Canton:

The people of the Tabqa Canton will hold a demonstration starting from the First Neighborhood at 12:00 PM.

Raqqa Canton:

The people of the Raqqa Canton will hold a demonstration starting from the Free Woman Square at 12:30 PM.

Deir ez-Zor Canton:

The people of the Deir ez-Zor Canton will hold a demonstration in the western countryside at 12:00 PM.
