KOBANI

The Turkish occupation army has been using warplanes extensively in attacks against the vicinity of Tishrin Dam, Qaraquzak Bridge, and the southern countryside of the city of Kobani during the past four days, in light of the retreat of its mercenaries by land on the fighting fronts in the Tishrin Dam area in the face of the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

The Turkish occupation state is trying to reach and occupy Tishreen Dam, the second largest dam in Syria, and thus attack and occupy the areas of Kobani in the north and Raqqa in the south.

For 38 days, despite the Turkish military build-up and its mercenaries, it has not been able to make any progress around Tishreen Dam, as the Syrian Democratic Forces, specifically the Manbij Military Council and the Women's Protection Units, are still stationed on the western bank of the Euphrates River, 8 km from Tishreen Dam, where clashes are taking place in the villages of Aloush, Tal Arish, Al-Sa'idiyah and Na'ima, in addition to the outskirts of the town of Abu Qalqal.

The Turkish occupation army used warplanes, drones of the (Bayraktar TB-2) type and (Akinci) drone in its attacks, which are the latest types of drones in the Turkish state and carry 6 missiles, in addition to cannons, tanks, rocket launchers and armored vehicles.

Dozens of sites in the northeastern region of Syria were subjected to shelling throughout a month of ongoing battles, in the southern and western countryside of the city of Kobani, the vicinity of the Qaraquzak Bridge, the outskirts of the Tishrin Dam, the western villages of the Girê Spî canton, the western and eastern villages of the city of Ain Issa, various villages in Tal Tamr, and sites in the mountains of Qizwan in Hasakah and Qara Jokh in Derik.

According to the latest statistics conducted by ANHA's agency, which were documented by the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces over the past few days, the number of mercenary factions killed under different names reached 268 mercenaries, most of whom were killed on the western outskirts of the Tishrin Dam, in addition to the killing of a number of them near the Qaraquzak Bridge, and in other separate operations in Tal Tamr and Ain Issa.

The Syrian Democratic Forces also announced the downing of 3 Bayraktar TB-2 drones near the Qaraquzak Bridge, an Anqa drone in the countryside of the town of Tal Tamr, and an Aksungur drone in the countryside of Ad-Darbasiyah.

For its part, the Syrian Democratic Forces announced, until January 13, the martyrdom of 81 fighters, both male and female, in its ranks, in the historic resistance in the Tishrin Dam and Qaraquzak Bridge areas.

The attacks of the Turkish occupation, for more than a month, have also led to the loss of 42 civilians, in two separate massacres in the Ain Issa district, specifically the villages of Mustariha and Safyan, which claimed the lives of 20 civilian martyrs on December 8 and 10 of last year.

In the city of Manbij, the Zenobia Women's Gathering announced the martyrdom of three of its members at the hands of the Turkish occupation mercenaries when they entered the city of Manbij on December 8.

On December 11, an elderly woman lost her life as a result of direct fire by mercenaries against civilians on the Qaraquzak Bridge. On the same day, a drone bombed an ambulance belonging to Kobani Hospital, killing the driver and one of the wounded who was being transported.

The Turkish artillery shelling on the village of Ja'ada also led to the loss of two children's lives, in addition to another shelling that also caused the loss of a mother and a child's lives on December 12.

On December 13, the Turkish occupation mercenaries killed a citizen who owned the Shahbandar restaurant in Manbij.

On December 8, during the arrival of civilian convoys on duty to protect the dam, the Turkish occupation committed a massacre against the residents by bombing the convoy, which led to the martyrdom of 5 civilians and the injury of 15 others.

Four civilians also lost their lives and four others from one family were injured in the Turkish airstrikes by warplanes that targeted a house in the village of Masrab, affiliated with the city of Sarrin, south of Kobani, on January 10.
