"Our wish is the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan”

Residents of Kobani spoke to ANHA's agency about the isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan and about the right to hope. Citizen Lutfiyya Mahmoud Suleiman explained that the people of Kobani eagerly await the leader’s physical freedom, saying: “There will be no solution unless the leader’s physical freedom is achieved; our hope and wish is to secure his physical freedom.”

“The Leader’s Physical Freedom Is a Fundamental Step to Address Crises”

Lutfiyya said: “Leader Abdullah Ocalan laid the foundation for the Democratic Nation project and launched the call for peace and a democratic society, so his physical freedom must be realized for this process to continue. The world’s crises are worsening day by day, and the leader has the capacity to contribute to resolving them, which makes achieving his physical freedom a crucial step toward addressing those crises.”

“We Say to the Turkish State: Enough”

Nadia Hassan, for her part, pointed to the necessity of adopting the leader’s call for peace and a democratic society, saying: “Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s message is a message of peace, but the Turkish state violates all rights. We say to the Turkish state: Enough, we want to see our leader among us in person.”

Nadia concluded her remarks by saying: “Our activities will not stop until we see our leader among us; our trust is his freedom.”
