An Israeli patrol consisting of 10 military vehicles advanced into the area of Sayda al-Hanout in the southern countryside of Quneitra at dawn on Saturday, where it established a checkpoint and searched homes without recording any arrests.

These movements come amid continued Israeli activities in southern Syria, which have raised residents’ concerns over the possibility of a permanent incursion and the continued presence of forces on Syrian territory.

In a related development, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported a new field escalation in the countryside of Quneitra on Friday, as an Israeli force composed of four military vehicles entered the villages of Bariqa and Bir Ajam in the central countryside of Quneitra, before proceeding toward the village of al-Asha in the southern countryside, without any arrests or clashes with residents being reported.
