Ongoing efforts to support residents of Qamishlo, Girkê Legê

The Kurdish Red Crescent and the Kurdistan Red Crescent announced the continuation of free bread distribution to the residents of Qamishlo from today, 26 February, until 4 March.

Distribution is taking place at the following locations: Joni Bakery in the Corniche neighborhood; a bakery on Munir Habib Street; Sheikhan Bakery near the Osman Sabri roundabout; Alan Bakery in the Banks (Masaref) neighborhood; Romaf Bakery in the Antariya neighborhood; and Antariya Bakery near the Kurdish Red Crescent headquarters.

Distribution continues daily from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Today, residents received bread free of charge from all participating bakeries.

In a related development, the Barzani Charity Foundation, in coordination with the Kurdish Red Crescent, distributed humanitarian aid to four villages affiliated with the city of Girkê Legê. This comes as part of joint efforts to strengthen the response to the living needs of families in the area.

This campaign is part of an integrated program targeting all villages affiliated with the city, following a distribution mechanism that takes into account population density and levels of need, in order to ensure that assistance reaches the largest possible number of families.

Those overseeing the campaign confirmed that distribution operations will continue in the coming days, in an organized manner that considers the needs of each village, in an effort to ease living burdens and promote community stability.
