Asr Law Office's lawyers, Ibrahim Bilmez, Cengiz Yörkli, Suzan Akiba and Imran Amekci, submitted a new request today to the Bursa Republican Public Prosecutor's Office and Imrali Prison Directorate to meet their clients; Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the other three detainees, Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Weysi Aktaş.

The Turkish authorities have been pursuing a system of torture and genocide against Leader Abdullah Ocalan since he was kidnapped in an international conspiracy in 1999, and requests for meetings are arbitrarily rejected or left unanswered.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan has been detained for about 25 years in Imrali Island Prison in the Sea of Marmara, following an international conspiracy carried out by international and regional powers in 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and was handed over to the Turkish occupation state on February 15 of the same year.
