According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces entered the town of Jabata al-Khashab at dawn today in the northern Quneitra countryside, in full view of the Syrian transitional government forces stationed in the area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that around fifty Israeli soldiers entered the town aboard four military vehicles and began searching several houses, while drones hovered overhead to monitor field movements. No reports of clashes or arrests have been received so far.

Yesterday, Israeli forces brought seven heavy vehicles, including bulldozers, into Syrian territory in southern Quneitra countryside and began earthworks to erect an earthen barrier west of the village of al-Hanout. Observers described the move as part of an ongoing expansion along the ceasefire line in the Golan Heights.

These developments come amid official silence from the Syrian transitional government, which has issued no comment on the continuing situation in southern Syria.
