Motorcycle banned within administrative boundaries of Hasakah

The authorities stressed that strict legal measures will be taken against violators, with motorcycles being immediately confiscated.

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in Hasakah Governorate issued a statement today regarding the ban on motorcycle movement within the city’s administrative boundaries, stating that the decision comes from its national and moral responsibility to safeguard civil peace, in accordance with the laws and regulations governing the use of motorcycles, and in response to the urgent security necessity imposed by recent developments.

The statement read: “Our forces have recently observed a significant increase in violations resulting from the misuse of motorcycles within Hasakah city. These violations have not been limited to traffic offenses but have extended to becoming a means of spreading panic through random gunfire, causing physical injuries among innocent civilians, and being exploited in illegal activities that threaten the core of community security and stability.”

Accordingly, and in order to protect lives and ensure the restoration of security, the following has been decided:

1- A complete ban on the movement of all types of motorcycles, both civilian and military, within the administrative boundaries of Hasakah city.

2- This decision takes effect immediately upon issuance and will remain in force until further notice, depending on security assessments.

3- The relevant authorities will begin implementing strict legal procedures against violators without exception to ensure full compliance with the decision.

4- Any violating motorcycle will be immediately confiscated, and financial fines will be imposed on their owners in accordance with applicable legal procedures.

The General Command affirmed that these exceptional measures are taken as part of its duty to protect citizens and prevent those who seek to destabilize the city from continuing their actions. It also expressed confidence in public awareness and called on all citizens to fully cooperate with the security forces to ensure the success of this measure and to restore stability across the city.
