More than 500 kidnapped in Turkish- held territories during 2024

The Violations Documentation Center confirmed that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have been kidnapped since the beginning of this year 501 people in occupied Afrin and other areas.

Today, the Center for Human Rights Violations published a report that stated,

"Turkey -backed armed groups continue to implement more arrests and kidnapping civilians, as violence, crime, bombings, assassinations have increased in Turkish controlled areas, northern Syria."

Turkish forces and Syrian armed groups continue to commit more violations, and do not care about the calls for the suspension of daily raids and the kidnapping of citizens, for the ransom."

The Documentary Center team confirms that the most of the arrests are done illegally, arbitrarily, as these arrests inculde a series of terrible violations of human rights, and most of the detainees cannot be communicated with their families.

The Afrin region and other regions since the beginning of this year witnessed (2024) more than (501) kidnappings, while in 2023 the cases exceeded (461), during the year 2022, more than (702) kidnapped cases, in addition murder cases of civilians under torture.
