MMC: We confirm that our role will not be defensive only

The Media Center of the Manbij Military Council issued a statement today to the public opinion regarding the fascist Turkish aggression and escalation against innocent people, which read:

"The villages of the front lines and the villages adjacent to them have witnessed an accelerated military escalation during the recent period, represented by artillery shelling and targeting by drones, and the source of this escalation is the Turkish occupation bases located in the areas of the so-called "Euphrates Shield"

These bases were not satisfied with targeting the defensive points of our forces, but were carrying out random shelling, which resulted in the killing of a girl" and the injury of many members of her family, in addition to a number of other residents, and this unjust aggression resulted in the destruction of a number of homes inhabited by residents, and this aggression threatens the safety of people who use the humanitarian crossings located on the front lines and threatens to close them and obstruct the arrival of humanitarian supplies And societal, in addition to humanitarian cases.

We in the Manbij Military Council condemn and denounce this blatant and unjustified aggression, and we also condemn and denounce the Russian position and its silence towards the crimes that are taking place and standing as a spectator, and we also say: We have the right to respond and legitimately defend our land and our people, and we will target all enemy points and mercenary factions loyal to it, unless this escalation is stopped immediately.

We emphasize that our role will not be defensive only, as long as our people and their property are being targeted in a fundamental and systematic manner, and our forces in the Manbij Military Council pledge to the people of Manbij to respond appropriately to these violations, and we see ourselves primarily responsible for protecting our people with all its components and protecting children and property.
