The Ministry of Information of the Syrian Interim Government circulated, via its affiliated groups on virtual social media platforms, a post titled "Don't Forget Raqqa," claiming it was issued by the city's residents demanding the unveiling of "the siege and violations."

However, local sources confirmed that this claim is entirely fabricated, and the poster was neither designed nor released by the people of Raqqa. Instead, it was prepared within the ministry’s offices and then misleadingly promoted. Data indicates that the publication occurred in WhatsApp groups linked to the ministry, via a person named Mohammad Al-Asmar.

Observers believe that the current Ministry of Information is following a similar approach to the Baathist Ministry of Information during the previous regime by manufacturing fabricated narratives and presenting them to the public as local voices. This reflects the continuation of media misinformation policies and attempts to sow discord among the people.
