Meeting between representatives of German Foreign Ministry, SDF General Command

The Director of the Near East, Middle East and North Africa at the German Foreign Ministry, Tobias Tunkel, said that the rights and interests of the Syrian Kurds can best be preserved through internal Syrian dialogue, during his meeting with the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

The Director of the Near East, Middle East and North Africa at the German Foreign Ministry, Tobias Tunkel, published a post on his personal account on virtual social media, in which he referred to a meeting he had with the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces, attaching pictures to it.

The picture shows a meeting between him and the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, and a member of the General Command of the Women's Protection Units, Rohlat Afrin.

He posted: "The rights and interests of the Syrian Kurds can best be preserved through internal Syrian dialogue with Damascus."

He added: "And about the urgent issues that must be addressed in direct contacts between the leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces and Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham. We also discussed the ongoing joint efforts against ISIS.
