The sheikhs of the villages of Qubay and Ja'da, along with other sheikhs and dignitaries from Arab and Kurdish tribes in the city of Kobani, met with representatives from the General Security and Internal Security Forces (Asayish), and representatives from the Autonomous Administration in the Euphrates region, in addition to the Deputy Governor of Aleppo, Ali Hanawi, in the village of Bastik, located in the western countryside of Kobani.

This meeting is considered the first of its kind in Kobani following the signing of the agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the interim government.

During the meeting, the attendees discussed the mechanism for implementing the agreement and ways for residents to return to their villages, particularly the residents of Shuyukh al-Fawqani and Shuyukh al-Tahtani.

As a first step, it was agreed to establish eight joint checkpoints between the Internal Security Forces and General Security, in addition to a main checkpoint extending from the Jarablus bridge to the villages of Jaql Wiran and Qasimiya in the town of Shuyukh.

According to the Internal Security Forces, discussions will continue in the coming days regarding the establishment of additional joint checkpoints between the General Security of the interim government and the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in Jalabiya and Sarin.
