Mazloum Abdi: We continue de-escalation efforts, call on people to support fighters

The commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces addressed the people, saying, "We call on our people to rally around their people of our fighters, and to demonstrate courage and faith." He affirmed that ceasefire efforts are ongoing with the assistance of international parties.

The commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) confirmed to ANHA agency that systematic attacks on Kurdish neighborhoods in Aleppo began on January 6th and have continued reaching areas in North and East Syria, including Tabqa, the southern countryside of Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor.

Mazloum Abdi made clear, "Despite all our attempts and efforts to stop the escalation and work towards de-escalation, the attacks are still ongoing."

Abdi added, "We announce to our people that our efforts to work towards de-escalation and a ceasefire are continuing with the assistance of international parties. Therefore, we call upon our people to support their sons and daughters of our fighters, and to demonstrate courage and faith."
