Syrian presidential adviser Mazloum Abdi held a meeting with a number of residents of the city of Darbasiyah, during which developments in the current phase and the challenges facing the region were discussed.

Abdi stressed that the current phase requires united efforts and stronger cooperation to help ensure the success of the integration process and preserve the gains achieved through more than 15 years of struggle. He noted that the integration process includes all components of the region, including Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs, Assyrians and Armenians, as well as all employees of the Autonomous Administration institutions, ensuring everyone’s participation in state institutions.

Mazloum Abdi explained that peaceful demonstrations are a right guaranteed to everyone and that the state will consider citizens’ demands. However, acts of sabotage, attempts to obstruct the integration process—which has reached its final stages—or efforts to derail it are unacceptable.

Abdi called on all components of the region to unite and stand together in support of efforts to activate state institutions in the governorate and confront attempts to incite discord and division. He stressed that any party seeking to sow discord does not serve the national interest or the future of the region.

He also urged residents to encourage their children to attend school and learn Kurdish alongside Arabic, emphasizing the importance of preserving the mother tongue and strengthening its presence in the educational process.
