Mazloum Abdi, Advisor to the Presidency, met today with a number of doctors and health sector officials in the city of Kobani to discuss the current state of the city's healthcare sector and the challenges it faces.

The meeting addressed the issue of regularizing the legal and professional status of doctors—particularly graduates of Rojava University—as well as ways to validate their degrees and integrate them into state health institutions as part of the ongoing integration process.

The meeting also addressed a range of problems and shortcomings facing hospitals in the city of Kobani, foremost among them the acute shortage of medical equipment and specialized personnel.

During the meeting, the general health situation in Kobani was reviewed, the demands of the medical staff were heard, and the necessity of finding urgent solutions to improve health services for the local population was emphasized.
