During a meeting at the headquarters of the District Directorate, Syrian Presidential Adviser Mazloum Abdi met with Kobani District Director Ibrahim Muslim to discuss the details of the tragic incident that took place in the city two days ago, which resulted in the deaths of nine inmates at Kobani Prison and injuries to 17 others.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the course of events and the circumstances surrounding the incident, as well as the necessary measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

The Director of the Kobani District stressed the need to activate the role of judicial and security institutions and strengthen coordination between them in a manner that ensures the protection of residents and the preservation of security and stability in the area.

For his part, Adviser Mazloum Abdi stressed the need to launch a transparent and independent investigation into the incident and to hold those responsible for violations against civilians and prisoners accountable.

He also emphasized the importance of maintaining the security and stability of the city, activating the role of administrative and judicial institutions, and accelerating the process of integrating the security, judicial, and administrative bodies within the city.
