Hundreds of residents from Hasaka city and displaced people from Afrin took part in the mass rally, which began at Al-Hamam Roundabout in the Tal Hajar neighborhood and proceeded to the Martyr Sarhad Roundabout in the Al-Mufti neighborhood. The demonstration called for the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, under the slogan: “Physical Freedom for Leader APO.”

Participants in the rally held up pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and chanted slogans demanding his freedom.

After the rally reached Martyr Sarhad Square, Nahed Suleiman, a member of the Kongra Star Coordination in Hasaka, delivered a speech in which she noted that the people, with all their components, especially women seeking freedom, draw strength and willpower from the Leader’s ideas and philosophy.

She added: “More than 26 years have passed since the arrest of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and he is subjected to severe isolation. The Leader struggles for the freedom of all peoples, and it is our responsibility to protect his ideas and work towards achieving his physical freedom.”

Nahed Suleiman emphasized that Leader Abdullah Ocalan was the first to propose the women's liberation project and made women a central force for change and progress. She pointed out that, thanks to his philosophy, women have taken on leading roles in all organizational, cultural, military, and political fields.

Meanwhile, Farouq Tozu, the co-chair of the Hasaka City Council, stated in his speech: “We have reached this level thanks to the ideas and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan. The regions of North and East Syria are united today based on the project presented by the Leader, which forms a roadmap for a solution.”

Tozu pointed out that Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s call for peace and a democratic society in the Middle East is “a comprehensive call that has been adopted on a global level, as it offers real solutions for peace and stability in the region and the world.”

The rally concluded with chants expressing commitment to Leader Abdullah Ocalan, most notably: “No life without the Leader.”
