Mass rally in Derbasiyah in support of YPJ

Derbasiyah city witnessed a mass rally in which hundreds of residents participated, in support of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), and demanding a guarantee of their participation in the integration process and joining the Syrian Ministry of Defense.

In the framework of demanding the protection and legal and social guarantees of women's rights, the Kongra Star organized On Monday a massive march in Derbasiyah city, with the participation of hundreds of residents and members of institutions, councils, and youth and women's movements.

The march began at the Free Woman Roundabout, where the participants carried banners with slogans "We are all the Women's Protection Units (YPJ)," "YPJ represents us," and "Women protect the Rojava Revolution." They emphasized their continued support for YPJ and its role in protecting the region and defending women's gains.

This march was part of a campaign launched on April 26th by the Joint Events Platform of Women's Movements and Organizations in Rojava, under the slogan "We are all YPJ, the YPJ represents us."

Upon reaching the Gardinia Roundabout, the march transformed into a rally. Then, Abeer Hassen; the administrator in the Women's Office of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), addressed the crowd, praising the struggle of women in the Rojava Revolution and their prominent role throughout its various stages.

Abeer Hassen added, "The Women's Protection Units (YPJ) waged a great struggle in Rojava, Kurdistan, and made immense sacrifices in defense of the region and women's rights," emphasizing that "YPJ represents the existence and will of the people."

For their part, the participants affirmed their continued support for YPJ, and concluded by stressing the necessity of protecting women's gains and guaranteeing them constitutionally.
