Mass march set off towards leader house in Amara

“Towards Amara for Freedom” march, organized on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the birth of leader Abdullah Ocalan was launched.

On the occasion of the birth of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, which falls on April 4, a mass march was organized towards the village of Amara in Khalafti, affiliated with the city of Raha in northern Kurdistan.

The march was launched under the slogan “Towards Amara for the freedom,” and was organized by the Democratic Society Conference (KCD), the Free Women’s Movement (TJA), the Association for Support and Assistance of the Families of Missing Persons in the Cradle of Civilization (MEBYA-DER), and the Union of Human Rights Associations to Support the Families of Prisoners and Detainees ( MED TUHAD-FED), the Democratic Party of the Provinces (DBP) and the Party of Equality and Peoples' Democracy (DEM Partî).

Leader  Ocalan has not been allowed to meet his family or lawyers for more than 3 years, so no information has been received about him. Many people from several cities in northern Kurdistan and Turkey gathered in the Uligur neighborhood in the Persus district of Raha to participate in the march organized on the occasion of the birth of leader Ocalan.

The representative of DEM Party  in Merdin, Saliha Aydıniz, made a statement on behalf of the crowds before the march.
