Leader Ocalan’s message resonates widely among Syrian tribes

The message sent by Leader Abdullah Ocalan to the dignitaries and sheikhs of Syrian tribes has received widespread welcome and positive reception. So far, it has reached more than 31 tribes and garnered significant response. It was considered a sincere call for peace, reflecting a responsible vision aimed at building a safe and stable Syria that embraces all its people, regardless of their affiliations.

 Leader Abdullah Ocalan sent a message of love and peace from Imrali Prison, where he has been held since February 15, 1999, to the dignitaries and sheikhs of Syrian tribes. The ANHA agency published the message on September 14.

Leader Ocalan addressed the sheikhs and dignitaries of the cantons of Jazira, Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Tabqa. He stated: “Your unity and support for the Kurds based on the democratic nation system is of great significance.” He also emphasized: “Through this agreement, you are establishing a new historical foundation of trust in the relationship and alliance between the Arab and Kurdish peoples.”

He called on the tribal leaders: “Esteemed gentlemen: You can play a significant and historic role in building a democratic, safe, unified, and just Syria. It is important for Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs, Assyrians, and all who live on this sacred land to act for this historic brotherhood. With this hope and trust, I embrace and strongly support you.”

The Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the Council of Notables in northern and eastern Syria formed a delegation to deliver a copy of the message to the dignitaries and tribal sheikhs, conducting an official visit.

The majority of tribal leaders and dignitaries agreed that Leader Ocalan’s message carries a sincere call for peace at its core, reflecting a vision based on the principles of coexistence and strengthening brotherhood ties among different social components.

They also confirmed their support for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), praising its leading role in combating ISIS and maintaining security and stability in the region, contributing to building a unified and democratic Syria.

The Arab tribes and clans welcomed the initiative for dialogue and rapprochement between the communities, considering it a positive step toward reducing tensions and strengthening cohesion between Arabs and Kurds, based on the deep historical ties between the two peoples.

In this context, the tribes and clans reaffirmed their adherence to Leader Ocalan’s vision for resolving regional crises, emphasizing that his vision represents a trustworthy approach due to its constructive humanitarian and political content.

Meanwhile, the delegation from the Syrian Initiative and the Council of Notables continues its visits to the sheikhs and dignitaries of the tribes in northern and eastern Syria.
