Lawyers, brothers of Imrali detainees apply for access

The brother of leader Ocalan and the brothers of other detainees in Imrali submitted a new request to the Turkish authorities to meet with them.

Muhammad Ocalan, the brother of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and his agent Mazloum Deng submitted a new request to the Bursa Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with him.

Omar Khayri Kunar's brother, Ali Kunar, Hamili Yildirim's brother, Polat Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş's sister, Meliha Cetin, also submitted the same request to the same authorities to meet with them.

The requests submitted by the lawyers and family of Leader Ocalan have been left pending without a response since March 2021.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan's last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a phone call with his brother Muhammad Ocalan, which lasted less than 5 minutes, then the call was cut off.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan was arrested following an international conspiracy whose first threads began on October 9, 1998, when he left Syria heading to Moscow. He was arrested on February 15, 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and handed over to the Turkish authorities.
