Since May 6, the Kurdish Red Crescent has been implementing the relief campaign in Jazira areas, which includes distributing 20,000 food baskets to families suffering from humanitarian and economic hardships.

According to information obtained by ANHA agency from administrators of the Kurdish Red Crescent, the campaign is being conducted through four field teams and covers the cities of Hasakah, Qamishlo, Dêrik, Girkê Legê, Tel Tamr, Zirghan, Çil Agha, Rimelan, Tirbespiyê, and Darbasiyah.

Those overseeing the campaign explained that the aid is being distributed according to the needs of residents, with the aim of reaching the largest possible number of families in need across the region.

The Kurdish Red Crescent also noted that the aid had previously been sent by the people of Southern Kurdistan and the Kurdish Red Crescent in support of residents in the regions of Rojava.

This comes after a previous campaign carried out by the organization, during which 15,000 relief baskets were distributed to villages in the city of Kobani, which had previously been looted by factions affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government.
