The Kurdish Left Party in Syria issued a written statement today about the so-called "consultative meeting" for the people of Hasakah that was held today in the capital Damascus, at the invitation of the Preparatory Committee for the "National Dialogue Conference", formed by the Damascus Authority, which stated:

"At the invitation of the so-called National Dialogue Committee, a so-called consultative meeting for the people of Hasakah was held today, February 20, 2025, in Damascus, to which some people were invited, and no representative of the Kurdish political parties, the Syrian Democratic Council, the Syrian Democratic Forces, or the Democratic Autonomous Administration was invited.

We in the Kurdish Left Party in Syria We see that the so-called Preparatory Committee for the Syrian National Dialogue, headed by the so-called Hassan Al-Daghim, through his statements that emphasized not inviting political parties and representatives of nationalities, including the parties of the Kurdish National Movement, the Syrian Democratic Forces, and representatives of the Syrian Democratic Council and the Autonomous Administration, has taken the so-called Syrian National Dialogue Committee out of the reality that it is a real committee for national dialogue, not only in the areas of the Autonomous Administration, but in all Kurdish areas and the Kurdish people in general, and in all Syrian regions with their various components, and that with this absurd act that is not based on any facts on the ground, it will not achieve any national reconciliation, but will complicate the situation more and more, and will deepen the state of instability and insecurity throughout Syria.

We see in the Kurdish Left Party in Syria that those gathered in Damascus today do not represent the rest of the components of the people of Al-Hasakah, that they are people who are racing to achieve personal gains, and serve agendas that do not serve the people of the region, who were loyal to the former Baath regime yesterday, and now want to ride the wave and join the new situation.

The true representatives of the people of Hasakah are its political and social forces, its intellectuals, and its national and social figures. The meeting place must be in Hasakah, which is part of the North and East Syria region, and part of Rojava Kurdistan.
