Kurdish Intellectuals discuss Unified Stance-1

Intellectuals from Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Kurdistan (Bakur, Bashur, Rojhelat and Rojava Kurdistan) spoke to ANHA agency about the importance of a unified position in confronting occupational attacks and treason.

Karimi: The KDP is like a curse against Kurds

Ali Karimi pointed out to  the attacks of the occupiers of Kurdistan from all directions, by saying: "Their goal is to destabilize security and stability and prevent the independence of the Kurds in the Middle East. For example, we see how the Turkish state has been attacking Southern Kurdistan since last spring and until now."

 "Unfortunately, some Kurds stand with the occupiers, especially the KDP and the Barzani family. They work for the benefit of Turkish agendas, and do not care about Turkey's hegemony and control over Southern Kurdistan."

 Its goal is collecting money

Ali Karimi highlighted the position of the KDP by saying: "The KDP exploits the wealth and resources of Kurdistan for its own benefit, and sacrifices the people of Kurdistan for these interests. The goal of the KDP is only to collect wealth and money. It is ready to fight the Kurds alongside Turkey. There is no doubt that Turkey cannot advance towards Southern Kurdistan without the help of the Barzani family."

If we do not unite, the experience of Southern Kurdistan and Rojava will fail

Karimi stated that there are great dangers and threats against Kurdistan's gains,

"The greatest danger at this stage is the end of the experience of Southern Kurdistan and Rojava. If we unite against Barzani, treason, and the occupiers, we will thwart the plans and projects of the occupiers" he added.

Intellectuals must play their awareness-raising role

Karimi referred to the role of intellectuals in protecting the gains and obtaining the legitimate rights of the Kurdish people.

 " Unfortunately intellectuals have not yet performed their real mission. Intellectuals must play their awareness-raising role. Furthermore, they forget the cause of their country for the sake of their personal interests and the salaries, so most of them work for this corrupt authority l."

National Conference must be held Immediately

Karimi pointed out the necessity of holding the National Conference to face the dangers and threats on Kurdistan.

 "The Kurdish people must expose the policies of the KDP in all parts of Kurdistan and the world, not only in Southern Kurdistan. They must fight against this betrayal. Unfortunately, our activities are not enough. We must exert more efforts and struggle in the squares and streets. We must work to hold a national conference to put an end to the traitors."

Ali Karimi concluded by saying "The Barzani family has always followed the path of betrayal during the past 70 years"
