KRCD calls for sustainable peace in Syria

On the International Day of Peace, the Confederation of Democratic Society Organizations in NE Syria region (KRCD)stressed that peace is a culture that must be taught, calling on human rights organizations to assume their duty in supporting sustainable peace efforts in Syria.

The KRCD issued a written statement on the occasion of the International Day of Peace.

The statement stressed that " We call on all international civil society organizations and human rights institutions to do their duty in supporting sustainable peacebuilding efforts in Syria, and to cooperate in order to spread the culture of dialogue instead of violence and discrimination."

"We see difference as a source of diversity, not a tool to disperse values or ignite wars. Respecting diversity and accepting others is the key to building a strong society based on justice and equality. Therefore, we urge all peoples of the world to make this day an opportunity to rethink the necessity of peace as the only path for solving crisis."

The statement stressed. "We continue to organize civil society and promote the values of justice, freedom and equality."
