Kobani University signs academic agreement with Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Poland

As part of its European tour, the University of Kobani expanded its international partnerships through a new agreement with Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in the Polish city of Lublin, with the aim of strengthening scientific research and academic exchange.

The University of Kobani delegation continues its academic tour across several European countries, conducting a series of visits and meetings that have resulted in the signing of several cooperation agreements and partnerships with European universities. These efforts are part of the university’s strategy to broaden its international relations and enhance scientific and academic exchange.

In this context, a delegation from the University of Kobani signed an academic cooperation and coordination agreement with Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Poland, with the goal of developing collaboration in higher education, scientific research, and the exchange of expertise between the two institutions.

The University of Kobani delegation included the university’s Co-President Sharvan Muslim and Director of the Relations Office Ashraf Mahmoud. Representing the Polish university at the signing ceremony were Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation with the Business Sector Professor Zbigniew Pastuszak, Director of the Center for International Cooperation Olga Pliszczyńska-Mokijewska, and Director of the Institute of International Relations and Head of the Department of International and Political Relations Professor Marek Pietraś.

The agreement provides for enhanced cooperation in scientific research and academic exchange, as well as the implementation of joint projects and activities that contribute to developing international academic relations and promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two institutions.

Both parties emphasized the importance of this step in building sustainable academic partnerships, opening new horizons for scientific cooperation and increasing opportunities for students and researchers to benefit from shared academic experiences and expertise.

Maria Curie-Skłodowska University is considered one of the leading public universities in Poland, hosting tens of thousands of students and enjoying a distinguished academic reputation both nationally and internationally.
