Killing of IS Leader responsible for assassinations in al-Hol Camp

The Internal Security Forces Media Center published on its official website the news of the killing of the leader of the assassination cells in al-Hol Camp and outside it.

The center said: “As part of the work of our security forces in following up and pursuing terrorist cells, our security forces in the General Security Service obtained information about the hiding place of Amir of assassinations inside and outside al-Hol Camp, where a qualitative raid was carried out by our special forces, the HAT, with the support of the International Coalition, last night, Saturday.” February 4 at his hiding place in a house on the road leading to the village of Al-Khuwaytla in the Dashisha countryside.

The members of the cell opened fire on our forces, who responded to the sources of fire and were able to kill the Amir of assassinations, “Mahmoud Al-Lahibi,” nicknamed “Abu Sufyan,” in addition to killing another member. They also seized:

Pistol equipped with a silencer

Kalashnikov weapon

Gun number 2

Suicide belt equipped with bombs

ISIS mask

And a dagger for assassinations

It is noteworthy that Abu Sufyan is of Iraqi nationality and had several cells affiliated with him in al-Hol Camp, and he was in contact with Abu Ubaida, who was killed in a joint operation by our forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces within al-Hol Camp on the night of Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
