A man was subjected to an attempted kidnapping and robbery Tuesday evening on the road near the “Makass Jableh” intersection, after a silver Hyundai Avante carrying three people blocked his way, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The gunmen reportedly forced the man toward the Idlib–M4 road after seizing his car and belongings at gunpoint. They then threw him onto the side of the road and left him without a phone or any means of seeking help.

The man later managed to walk about four kilometers until he reached road security personnel, who transported him and helped him return to a safe location.

In Hasakah province, unidentified individuals kidnapped a goldsmith late Wednesday–Thursday night near the village of Khirbet Elias, north of Hasakah city. The circumstances of the incident remain unclear.

No confirmed information has emerged regarding the party behind the kidnapping or its motives, while the man's whereabouts remain unknown, causing concern among his relatives and residents of the area.

The kidnapped man's relatives called on security authorities to act to uncover the circumstances of the incident, determine his whereabouts, and ensure his safe return, amid the absence of official information about the incident.

In Manbij in eastern Aleppo countryside, a man in his thirties was killed by unidentified gunmen in the Al-Sarb area, near Harbiya Bridge.

The SOHR said the victim worked at a shop specializing in car parts replacement and maintenance. No information has emerged so far about the motive for the killing or the identities of those responsible.
