K. Star congratulates Equality and Peoples' Democracy Party on its election victory

The Kongra Star Council issued a written statement in which it congratulated the Equality and Peoples' Democracy Party on its victory in the local elections in Turkey and North Kurdistan.

The statement said: “Our leader said that our era is the era of women’s freedom, so we see how Kurdish women play their role and perform their duties throughout Kurdistan, especially during the local elections in northern Kurdistan, It played a prominent and strong role in protecting the Kurds for their votes, proving their presence, and preserving their identity in all cities and villages. The Kurds won in 75 cities with great efforts and thwarted the plans of the fascist Justice and Development Party, this party that seeks in all ways and forms to eliminate the Kurds, but the solidarity of the Kurdish people and the supporters of freedom have thwarted Erdogan’s fascist plans.”

The statement concluded by saying: “We, in the Kongra Star Council, extend our love and overwhelming happiness, our warmest congratulations to the People’s Equality and Democracy Party and the Kurdish people in northern Kurdistan, and we affirm that with women’s leadership, victory will be our permanent ally.”
