The Jordanian Ministry of Interior announced that Syrians residing in a number of countries will be allowed to enter Jordan without the need for prior approval.

The Jordanian News Agency "Petra" quoted the Ministry of Interior as saying: "Syrian citizens residing in European countries, countries of North and South America, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Gulf Cooperation Council countries are allowed to enter the Kingdom's territory without obtaining prior approvals."

The Ministry explained that they are required to hold valid residency permits for a period of no less than four months in the countries they are coming from.

The source added that this decision comes to facilitate the Syrian brothers residing in those countries to return to their country.
