Israeli patrol enters Quneitra, sets up checkpoint

Today, the central countryside of Quneitra witnessed a new incursion by Israeli forces, who set up a temporary checkpoint at the Umm al-Azam Dam junction. The forces inspected and verified the identities of passersby, detained several motorcycles, and later returned them to their owners before withdrawing from the area.

An Israeli force, consisting of more than 20 soldiers and four 4x4 vehicles, advanced toward the village of Umm al-Azam in the central countryside of Quneitra and set up a temporary checkpoint at the Umm al-Azam Dam junction, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Observatory reported that the forces began inspecting and verifying the identities of passersby and detained several motorcycles, which were later returned to their owners before the forces withdrew from the site.

Yesterday, for the second consecutive day, an Israeli force also advanced into the village of Tranjah in the northern Quneitra countryside, accompanied by a number of military vehicles, amid the flight of reconnaissance aircraft belonging to the aforementioned forces.
