Israeli forces arrested five young men from Daraa today while they were present in the village of Kudna in the southern Quneitra countryside.

According to available information, the arrests took place while the five youths were searching for wild mushrooms in agricultural land in the area. No further details have been provided regarding their fate or whether they were transferred into Israeli territory.

This comes after the Israeli army spokesperson announced that Reserve Brigade No. 55 had concluded its mission in southern Syria after approximately three months of continuous field activity.

The statement noted that forces from the 210th Brigade carried out military tasks during the past period in the Golan Heights and its surroundings, as well as in various locations in southern Syria, as part of what it described as “defensive activities and diverse field operations aimed at deterring threats and protecting Israel’s northern borders.”

Southern Syrian regions, particularly Quneitra and Daraa, have witnessed intensified Israeli military movements and activity, which at times include shelling targeting areas in the Daraa countryside, as well as ground incursions, arrests of civilians, and the transfer of some detainees into Israeli territory for questioning.
