ISIS targets security member, oil tanker in Deir ez-Zor countryside

ISIS mercenaries claimed responsibility for targeting a security member and an oil tanker in the Deir ez-Zor countryside. The attack resulted in the injury of the security member and damage to the tanker with its cargo spilling.

ISIS mercenaries announced on Saturday that they had carried out two separate attacks targeting a security member of the interim government and an oil tanker in rural Deir ez-Zor.

In a statement, the ISIS-affiliated “A’maq” agency said that a “Syrian security member was targeted with gunfire from a silenced pistol near his home in Al-Bukamal city. The targeted member was injured by two gunshots, before the attacker managed to flee.”

In another statement, the agency reported that “ISIS's fighters opened fire with machine guns on an oil tanker belonging to the Syrian government on a public road near al-Makman, north of Deir ez-Zor, causing damage to it and the spilling of its cargo.”
