ISIS executes another member of Fourth Division in Syrian desert

A member of the ranks of the Fourth Division was found field-executed by ISIS, after he was captured with 3 others on the Palmyra-Sukhna road in the Homs countryside, where they were subjected to an ambush carried out by ISIS.

The Syrian Observatory indicated that the death toll rose to two members of the Fourth Division, including a lieutenant, while the fate of the third remains unknown until this moment.

SOHR said earlier that one of the prisoners from the ranks of the Fourth Division, an officer with the rank of lieutenant, was killed in an ISIS ambush carried out on the Palmyra-Sukhna road in the Homs countryside, on March 27, during a combing operation in the area, while an unknown fate still pursues two other members of Fourth Division.

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that ISIS captured 3 members of the Fourth Division, during a sweep operation on the Palmyra al-Sukhnah road in the Homs countryside, last Wednesday, March 27, where they fell into an ISIS ambush and their fate remains unknown until this moment.

The death toll during attacks within the Syrian desert, according to the Syrian Observatory, has reached 261 people since the beginning of 2024.
