The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries bombed Umm Harmalah village in the countryside of the city of Zerghan in al-Jazira canton in North and East Syria at dawn today. The bombing resulted in a massacre of members of one family, which led, according to information documented by ANHA's agency, to the martyrdom of 3 citizens and the injury of 9, including children.

The Internal Security Forces issued a statement regarding the Turkish occupation bombing, which read: "At dawn on Tuesday, January 28, the Turkish occupation army committed a horrific massacre targeting safe civilians in the town of Zerghan in al-Jazira canton, where it bombed the village of Umm Harmalah with 15 heavy artillery shells, resulting in the martyrdom of three civilians, including a child, and the injury of others with varying injuries, all from the same family.

We, in the General Command of the Internal Security Forces of the North and East Syria Region, condemn in the strongest terms this crime, which is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and a continuation of the Turkish occupation's policy of targeting our people and trying to break their will.

We appeal to the international community and all human rights and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action to condemn these brutal acts, hold the Turkish occupation state accountable for its repeated crimes, and take serious measures to stop these violations that threaten the security and stability of the region."
