He added: "Once we received the news of Yahya's murder with that group, we tried to communicate with his number to confirm the authenticity of the information, and we were surprised to hear a stranger speaking Turkish and Arabic, telling us that last night, Tuesday, on June 4, the owner of the mobile was killed. Don't call again."

He noted information that after the group crossed the border and entered 300 meteres into Turkish territory, the Turkish border guards opened fire and deliberately killed them.

As to the aftermath of the incident, he said: "The group that accompanied them all died, and they were buried in the city of Orfa, after the Turkish soldiers committed the crime."

In an effort to get more information from the family to arrive at his body, the young man's family tried to reconnect, only to find that the mobile had become out of reach.

His family denounced the crime committed by the Turkish occupation army soldiers and said: "Even if his entry into Turkish territory was illegal, they could have dealt with it in accordance with international laws and standards, namely, imprisonment and return, not killing him with such brutality."
