On February 6, the Turkish occupation targeted protesters at the Tishrin Dam with a drone strike as they gathered to protect it from collapse, resulting in injuries among them.

Mohammed Jumaa, an injured protester and displaced person from the occupied town of Tal Abyad / Girê Spî, stated:

"We are resisting at the dam with a free and strong will. No matter how much the Turkish occupation tries with its attacks and crimes, it will not break our determination. Instead, we grow stronger and more resolute in defending our land and our dam."

Heva Rasho Hassan from Kobani said:

"We are here to stand against Erdogan, who commits crimes against us." She questioned, "Where is global public opinion? Where are human rights organizations regarding the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation against the protesters at the Tishrin Dam?"

She emphasized, "We will continue our resistance at our dam until we achieve victory by expelling the Turkish occupation."

Mustafa Mohammed stated: "We are advocates of peace and do not wish to fight anyone. However, the fascist Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries continue to attack us and target us, the civilians, at the Tishrin Dam."

He insisted, "We will come to the dam once, twice, and three times to protect it until we achieve victory."

Omar Khalifa Amash from Kobani, who was also injured, said: "As soon as we arrived at the Tishrin Dam to protect it, the Turkish occupation directly targeted us with a drone strike."

He affirmed, "We will remain at our dam and continue our resistance with unwavering determination, and we will support our forces on the front lines."
