Implementation of January 30 agreement: Interior Ministry personnel enter Qamishlo

Security personnel affiliated with the Ministry of Interior of the interim government have entered the city of Qamishlo in coordination with the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), as part of the of the January 30 agreement.

Moments ago, security personnel belonging to the Ministry of Interior of the interim government entered the city of Qamishlo in the Jazira Canton, in coordination with the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), in execution of the provisions of the January 30 agreement.

The agreement stipulates the entry of these forces into the centers of the cities of al-Hasakah and Qamishlo, and the commencement of a process to integrate the security agencies operating in the region.

Yesterday, Monday, the city of al-Hasakah witnessed the entry of security personnel and their deployment at specific locations within the “security square,” as a first step toward implementing the agreement.

According to the agreement, the security personnel are scheduled to be stationed in designated locations allocated to them, and their duties will be administrative in nature.
