"If PKK is defeated, there will be no such thing as S. Kurdistan region"
Writer and political analyst Hussein Omar warned of the cooperation of Turkey and the Kurdistan Democratic Party in launching attacks on the defensive areas of Mediya and stressed that if the Kurdistan Workers’ Party is defeated, there will no longer exist such a thing as the Southern Kurdistan Region. He stressed that it is very difficult to achieve the results that the Turkish regime or even the Kurdistan Democratic Party aspires to.

Despite the Turkish attacks on the regions of Southern Kurdistan, there have recently been witnesses of diplomatic movements between Iraq, Turkey, and the democratic authorities, and a joint plan to launch attacks on the regions of Southern Kurdistan, especially the Mediya regions.
Writer and political analyst Hussein Omar believes that for more than 30 years, successive Turkish authorities have viewed Iraq’s participation as a state, after the establishment of the Kurdistan region, and the participation of its forces in its attacks as a strategic goal.
Hussein Omar brought to mind Turkey's attack from 1992 to 2008 on southern Kurdistan, and noted: "It did not benefit either the Turkish regime, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, or the Iraqi Central Government."
Omar pointed out that the Turkish occupation state intends to launch a major attack of its kind on areas in Southern Kurdistan. It is possible that the number of soldiers who will participate in the attack will be much larger than in its previous attacks.
Omar saw that the Turkish plan enjoys the approval of America and NATO, and Iranian reservations. He said: “Any approval between the Iraqi government and the Turkish regime after the security meeting is evidence of Iranian approval for the attack as well.”
Omar was not surprised by the participation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party forces alongside the Turkish occupation, explaining: “This matter is not new. There is always practical and intelligence participation and opening the way for the Turkish occupation forces to launch their attacks in legitimate defense areas.”
Omar pointed out that the rush to announce and launch the operation comes against the backdrop of the approaching end of Erdogan’s era in power, and said: “Erdogan wants to make a historic achievement before he dies or leaves power. He talks in the speeches he gives about leaving politics, and this is evidence that he wants To achieve an achievement, and this achievement is the elimination of the Kurds by attacking the People's Defense Forces HPG, and if they are eliminated, it means the complete elimination of the Kurdish presence, and there will be no Kurdish list in the foreseeable future.”
Omar added: “Erdogan realizes that he will not be able to achieve this plan except with the help of the Iraqi government and with the help and participation of Kurdish forces. Let’s be realistic; the Kurdistan Democratic Party is a Kurdish force, so Erdogan participates with them in his plan to achieve this before he dies and his term as president ends, but that will not happen.” It would be easy, I think."
Omar noted that: “In the end, there are international circumstances, there are terrain and climatic conditions, and there are other factors that help the People's Defense Forces to prevent the realization of those plans that Turkey and the Kurdistan Democratic Party are aiming for,” Omar said.
Omar stressed that it is very difficult to achieve the results that the Turkish regime or even the Kurdistan Democratic Party aspires to.
Omar ruled out the participation of the Iraqi government and forces in the Turkish attack on Southern Kurdistan, explaining this “because the Iraqi government’s assistance to the Turkish army in its attack is linked to the balance of power in the region in general,” and he pointed to the Iranian role in Iraq.
He said about this: “Iran has real strategic differences, let’s say doctrinally, with Turkey. Historically, the Iraqi government is a pro-Iranian government. As I said, if the Iraqi government agrees, this means Iran’s approval of the attack and its participation.”
If the Kurdistan Workers' Party is defeated, the Southern Kurdistan region will no longer exist
Omar warned the Kurdish parties in Southern Kurdistan of the plans of the Turkish occupation state, and said: “If the Kurdistan Workers’ Party is defeated, there will no longer exist such a thing as the Southern Kurdistan region, and its leaders, who live in palaces, will have no place to hide in Kurdistan, because Erdogan’s talk about them in the past and until this moment it is known, as he accused them of treason and that they are tribal heads and not authorities, and they know full well that Erdogan is an enemy to them, just as he is an enemy to the entire Kurdish people.”
Writer and political analyst Hussein Omar stressed the importance of the current year for the peoples of Kurdistan and the region and said: “It will be a very important year in the Middle East region. I believe that some maps will change, and I mean here the State of Palestine will be announced. This is what the United States and the international community desire, after Israel will eliminate Hamas, and the United States will also try to solve the rest of the problems in the region, handing over part of them to Turkey and giving Turkey an incentive to do what it wants, which we do not want, but I think this will happen in the coming days, and Rojava and Southern Kurdistan will be one of the goals of this plan, unfortunately.
