ANHA correspondent reported hearing a loud explosion in the city of Jaramana, Damascus, which was audible across the city.

He added that it was later confirmed the blast resulted from an improvised explosive device that had been prepared for detonation near a church.

The device was moved to a nearby location and thrown into a well after military engineering units affiliated with the transitional government in Syria failed to dismantle it.

A video circulated showing several security personnel at what was said to be the site where the explosive device had been planted. One of them can be heard saying that the device was transferred to another location and detonated there, without causing any damage.
