Hussein Al-Othman: DAA is ready for dialogue to end Syrian crisis

Hussein Al-Othman stressed that the Syrian movement in 2011 was a historic transformation for the Syrian people, but external interventions changed its course and made it a crisis.

The co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Hussein Al-Othman, explained that the year 2011 was a year of historic transformation in Syria in general, and he said: “We still hope that this revolution will reach a real solution to the crisis that was created as a result of the revolution’s deviation from its true path following the intervention of some forces."

Al-Othman stressed: “There are some parties that distorted the image of the revolution, and there are those who exploited it and worked to arm it all of this changed the course of the revolution.”

Autonomous Administration initiative is a starting point for preserving the unity of Syrian territories

Al-Othman explained that the continuation of the Syrian crisis for more than a decade is the result of the lack of real effectiveness on the part of the international community to find a solution to it. Therefore, the Autonomous Administration, in order to preserve the unity of the Syrian territories, and said: “This initiative was an obligation on us so the Autonomous Administration launched such a national initiative.”

Al-Othman stressed: “Through this initiative, we conveyed a message to everyone, especially the existing Syrian forces that believe in the democratic solution, that we are ready for a solution."

Al-Othman explained: “This initiative is a road map to solve the Syrian crisis, and we are still working by all means and methods to all Syrians who believe in the democratic solution and believe in pluralism in order to reach an end to the Syrian crisis.”

External parties hinder sitting at the dialogue table

Al-Othman noted that there is a realistic situation on Syrian soil and all parties must be aware of what is happening in Syria and said: “We are fully aware that there are parties that cannot take a step towards Syrian dialogue and rapprochement, as a result of their association with some countries."

Al-Othman stated: “If these parties get rid of these ties and encumbrances, then the Syrians can sit at one dialogue table and find a just political solution to the Syrian crisis.”

Al-Othman stressed that military solutions thwarted the revolution and diverted its course, and called on all Syrians to view the Autonomous Administration initiative realistically and said: “We are ready for dialogue with all Syrian parties in order to get rid of this crisis.”

On the 13th anniversary of the Syrian crisis, Hussein Al-Othman called on the Syrian people and the Syrian parties to work to end this crisis and find a comprehensive political solution.
