The Community Protection Forces in the city of Derbasiye launched a series of community training programs dedicated to residents, aimed at strengthening the concept of self-protection and consolidating the principles of the Democratic Nation. This is part of their ongoing efforts to build an organized and cohesive society capable of protecting itself and defending its achievements.

Each training course involves approximately 20 participants from the city and its countryside, who receive intellectual and military lessons covering various topics, including revolutionary people’s war, special warfare, jineology (the science of women), and intensive lectures on the philosophy of the democratic nation.

In this context, the Co-chair of the Community Protection Forces in Jazira region, Hamid Maish, explained that these trainings aim to enhance the community’s ideological and organizational awareness and establish the values of self-protection as a fundamental pillar of societal security.

Maish added: “We continue to organize training in neighborhoods, villages, and centers, with a special focus on members of councils and institutions in the city. The goal is to promote a culture of belonging, responsibility, and community protection.”

He noted that these efforts are in response to the call for peace and democratic society launched by Leader Abdullah Ocalan on February 27. He stated: “Through these training courses, we are working to practically establish this concept.”

Maish emphasized that the training is not limited to the military aspect but includes intellectual components that strengthen societal cohesion and its ability to face challenges without relying entirely on official military forces.

He stressed that protecting society begins from within, through awareness, organization, and collective action. In conclusion, he affirmed that the training will continue periodically and regularly, with the ultimate goal of building a free, democratic society that guarantees the rights of all its components.
