Under the title “Protecting Tangible and Intangible Heritage.” the International Conference for Heritage Protection continues for 2d day during its first day, attendees focused on the fact that the integration experienced in NE Syria under the umbrella of coexistence.

The attendees in the first international conference are various components of NE Syria, including Kurds, Arabs, Armenians, and Assyrians, along with the British researcher Dr. David, and other guests from several European countries, Egypt, and Iraq via the “ZOM” communication application.

The activities of the second day of the conference began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, the conference is scheduled to discuss many topics across two sessions.

In the first session, “the role of identities in enriching heritage, classical language, some characteristics of the dialect of the city of Raqqa, popular singing in the Al-Jazera region, and the responsibility for efforts to preserve the intangible popular heritage” will be discussed.

The second will address “a critical study of the Antiquities Law issued by the General Council in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the legal protection of cultural heritage during the armed conflicts between national law and international criminal law.

The conference is scheduled to conclude the second day’s activities with heritage and artistic activities at 10 pm.

On the first day, the conference participants focused on the fact the integration in NE Syria.

On its second day, the conference is accompanied by the continuation of displaying the cultural heritage of the “Arab, Kurdish, Assyrian, Armenian” component, within the tents that were set up in the courtyard of Al-Sharq University, the center of the conference, while participants continue to view the exhibits and learn about the nature and symbolism of each of them.
