Head of Al-Hikmma National Movement in Iraq calls on Yazidis to hold on to their land
Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Al-Hikmma National Movement, called on the Yazidis to hold on to their homeland and land, stressing that targeting the Yazidis represents targeting all Iraq.
Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Al-Hikmma National Movement in Iraq, issued a statement on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Shengal massacre. He pointed out that the genocide suffered by the Yazidis at the hands of ISIS has been unable for years to erase its painful effects that prick every human conscience, due to its brutal crimes.
Al-Hakim stressed that targeting the Yazidis is targeting every Iraqi, and a crime that afflicted every honorable patriotic Iraqi, and said: "With this painful anniversary, we remember the suffering of all components of the Iraqi people, especially the Shiite Turkmens.
Al-Hakim called on the Yazidis to adhere to their homeland and land, and called on the concerned authorities to speed up the reconstruction of their areas, follow up on the file of missing Yazidi and Turkmen women, and support the victims' families.
