"General Conference" of general committee for peaceful civil movement in Suwayda tomorrow

Final touches are being made to the contract for an expanded dialogue conference in Suwayda, aimed at discussing the formation of a political and legal committee representing the various parties, which is scheduled to be held tomorrow, Wednesday.

The conference will be held at the Cultural Center in Suwayda by the Political Committee of the General Authority for Peaceful Civil Movement in Suwayda, at 11:00 a.m.

According to members of the preparatory committee, the conference was convened at the initiative of a number of local activists and politicians, with the support of expatriates and political activists interested in public affairs. It was recently presented to Sheikh Hikmat al-Hajri, the spiritual leader of the Druze Muslim community, where it was accepted and welcomed.

According to the organizers, the conference will contribute to break the current political deadlock by presenting clear items and national demands that satisfy all components and support the stability of Syria, in addition to guaranteeing rights and freedoms, thereby enhancing opportunities for understanding and national partnership among all.
