HASAKA

On the 26th anniversary of the international conspiracy targeting Leader Abdullah Ocalan, on February 15, 1999, the Hasaka City Council organized a protest today, condemning the conspiracy. People from Hasaka, along with residents of al-Shaddadi, Tal Brak, and al-Hol, participated in the protest.

The protest took place in front of the courthouse in Freedom Square, Hasaka, where participants raised pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, reiterating their rejection of the conspiracy that has been ongoing for more than a quarter of a century.

Pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan were also raised in the square, along with banners that read "We will destroy the Imrali system through the people's struggle," and "We will turn this Black Day into the Day of Freedom for leader Ocalan (APO)."

Kongra Star: The Leader’s thought is a beacon for future generations

The protest began with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs, followed by a speech by Amira Said, an administrator from the Kongra Star in al-Shaddadi, who said: "Today, we stand here to raise our voices as women of North and East Syria, and we affirm that the international conspiracy against leader Abdullah Ocalan, which began on February 15, 1999, is still ongoing today amidst the significant transformations occurring in the Middle East."

On this day, Amira Said commemorated the martyrs of freedom, justice, and humanity, noting that the international thought of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and his historical legacy will remain a guiding light for future generations.

She explained that the conspiracy was crafted with the aim of eliminating the Leader and his ideas, as they represent a threat to the capitalist system and the forces of tyranny. However, this day, which they intended to be a dark day for peoples aspiring for freedom, will transform into a day of resistance and victory for free will.

Amira Said also emphasized that capitalist forces seek to enslave peoples, but Leader Abdullah Ocalan was the obstacle to their implementation of their projects, which led them to conspire against him in a crime that contradicts all human values, leaving a stain of shame on humanity.

She concluded her speech by affirming that the Leader is not only a beacon of freedom for the Kurdish people but for all peoples striving for justice. He played a pivotal role in supporting women's rights, breaking the chains of slavery, and opening the horizons of freedom and equality for them.

Aldar Khalil: The freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is the key to solving Middle Eastern issues

In his speech, Aldar Khalil, a member of the co-chairs of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), emphasized that Leader Abdullah Ocalan has been imprisoned for 26 years in the prisons of the Turkish occupying state. Despite this, the peoples of the region remain committed to his approach, thoughts, and philosophy, which demonstrates the profound impact the Leader has had in the struggle for freedom and democracy.

Khalil explained that since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis and the beginning of the revolution in North and East Syria, the Turkish occupying state has systematically targeted the region's components with the aim of annihilating them. He pointed out that Ankara now realizes that the solution to the Middle Eastern issues lies in the freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and this is why it is currently seeking a way to deal with him.

He added that the components of North and East Syria have been protesting for months at the Tishrin Dam to protect it from Turkish occupation attacks, emphasizing that such resistance will contribute to overcoming this dark phase.

Khalil also pointed out that the Damascus authorities are attempting to reproduce a new Ba'athist system that seeks to exclude many components, sects, and religions in Syria, which would bring the country back to the mentality of the former centralized governance. This contradicts the aspirations of the peoples to build a democratic system.

In this context, he stressed that the unity of Syrian territory can only be achieved through a fair solution to the Kurdish issue, guaranteeing the rights of all components, religions, and sects, and integrating them in all fields within a decentralized system that ensures justice and equality for all.

He also affirmed that the demand to implement the thought and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a legitimate right because it offers a democratic model that guarantees every individual their rights and strengthens the concept of the fraternity of peoples, noting that achieving democracy and freedom in Syria and the world is contingent on the freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Aldar Khalil concluded his speech by asserting that the liberation of Leader Abdullah Ocalan from Imrali prison is inevitable and that he will return to integrate with all components and religions of the region to continue the struggle for a shared democratic future.

At the end of the speeches, the protest gathering concluded with chants condemning the international conspiracy and demanding the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.
