French MPs visit Rojava to support Kurdish rights

The French delegation visiting Rojava affirmed that the aim of its visit is to convey the voice of the Kurdish people and to safeguard and protect their rights in the region.

A French delegation visited the headquarters of the Department of Foreign Relations in the city of Qamishlo on Monday evening. The delegation included French Member of Parliament and Vice President of the French Socialist Party parliamentary bloc, as well as the party’s defense relations officer, Anna Pic, and Dylan Boutiflat, the official in charge of foreign relations at the French Senate.

The delegation was received by the Co-Chair of the Department of Foreign Relations, Ilham Ahmed, the Deputy Co-Chair, Gulistan Ali, and the representative of the Autonomous Administration in Damascus, Dr. Abdulkarim Omar.

In a special interview with ANHA Agency, Anna Pic expressed her happiness at meeting Ilham Ahmed, Co-Chair of the Department of Foreign Relations.

Speaking about the purpose of their visit to Rojava, she said: “We have come here to see firsthand what is happening in Rojava, to convey the voice of the Kurdish people in Rojava, and to safeguard and protect their rights.”
