First batch of IDPs of Afrin, Shahba arrives in Tapqa

The Council stated that to prevent the people of Tal Rifaat and Al -Shahba from being exposed to the massacres and to protect the innocent, they decided to get out of the area.

 The first batches of the displaced forcibly reached Tabqa and it is expected that additional batches will arrive in a row. Meanwhile, some other batches are still leaving from the Canton with expectations that the total number of displaced people may exceed 200,000 people.

 Since dawn, service institutions and employees of the Democratic Autonomous Administration began to harness all the capabilities to equip temporary shelters in Tabqa.

 A preliminary temporary center in the Sports City is equipped inside the city of Tabqa, in addition to some schools and democratic buildings in the region. According to the supervisors of the preparation of these centers, they are temporary shelter centers, consisting of tents, buildings and schools, where food, drink and health care are provided, until the suitable shelter is prepared for the displaced.

 The forced displacement journey from the camps and their areas is the second after the first displacement in 2018, due to  the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.
