Event held in Tirbespiye to mark anniversary of PYD’s founding

The PYD organized an event today at the Martyrs’ Park in Tirbespiye to mark the anniversary of its founding.

The event began with a speech by PYD Co-Chair Gharib Hesso, who addressed the party’s role and political trajectory, stressing the importance of continuing efforts to meet the aspirations of the people, strengthen social cohesion, and preserve the region’s gains.

He said the current stage requires commitment to dialogue and a political solution, greater public participation, and efforts toward a future marked by peace and stability, in line with the party’s political vision.

For his part, Nour al-Din Shakir delivered a speech on behalf of the Martyrs’ Families Council in Tirbespiye, speaking about the sacrifices of those martyred and their role in the struggle. He stressed the importance of honoring their memory and continuing efforts to achieve the goals for which they sacrificed their lives.

He said the families of the martyrs would continue to support the values underpinning the martyrs’ struggle, foremost among them social solidarity, upholding rights, and coexistence.

The event featured artistic and musical performances by artists Baran and Heval Dogan, as well as the Martyr Khabat Troupe. It also included a visual presentation on the party’s history, amid a celebratory atmosphere at Martyrs’ Park.
